Screenshot genie for Chrome
Capjin captures your screen, lets you mark it up, and saves it to your folder before you can reach for the mouse. Screenshots, full pages and screen video, all from the keyboard.
Works in Chrome 116 and newer on Mac, Windows and Linux. Free to start. Pro is a one-time $15.
Capjin is built around one idea: capture and share a screenshot without breaking your flow.
The visible tab, a dragged area, or an entire page scrolled down or sideways. Set a timer to catch menus and tooltips.
Record a whole tab with its sound, or drag out an area and record just that. Saved as .mp4 where Chrome supports it.
Shapes, arrows, text, blur and pixelate, numbered step markers and highlight focus. Resize, rotate, undo and redo.
Every capture is saved automatically to the folder you choose, with a file name pattern you control. JPG, PNG or WebP. Optionally copy each one to your clipboard too.
Handwriting text and smooth tapered arrows, for notes that feel human instead of corporate.
Your last 10 captures sit in a side panel. Drop an earlier one into the current image as a movable sticker.
Press ⌘ Shift S on Mac or Ctrl Shift S on Windows, or click the lamp in the toolbar.
Pick what to capture with a single key. The image is saved the instant it is taken.
Annotate in the preview window, copy to clipboard or save the annotated version, then wish again.
Keys work on any keyboard layout, including Thai.
Captures are saved to your own folder and your history lives in your browser. Capjin has no account, no analytics and no server that receives your images. Read the privacy policy.
Into the folder you pick during setup, on your computer. If no folder is available, Capjin falls back to your Downloads folder. Nothing is uploaded.
Core capture and annotation are free, including the optional auto-copy that puts every screenshot on your clipboard. Pro is a one-time payment of $15 through ExtensionPay, with no subscription. It adds pixelate, highlight focus, numbered step markers, full page scroll capture, the delay timer, capture history and the hand-drawn style.
Chrome does not let extensions run on its own pages (chrome://), the Chrome Web Store or the New Tab page. The lamp shows a red N/A badge there.
Capjin is built for Google Chrome 116 or newer. Other Chromium browsers may work but are not tested.
